Projects Flagship Case Study

High-Capacity Grain Reception & Silo System

A vertically integrated grain intake and storage system engineered for high capacity, limited space, and continuous operation.

Client: 300 TPD Flour Mill Height: 50 Meters Scope: Turnkey Infrastructure

The Challenge

The client operated a flour mill with a production capacity of 300 tons per day. The existing reception area was a major bottleneck, causing truck queues and limiting production flexibility.

  • Severe space constraints preventing horizontal expansion.
  • Inefficient intake flow causing downtime.
  • High dust generation and safety risks.
  • Requirement to upgrade without stopping the mill.
"The challenge required a high-capacity solution in a very tight footprint, while maintaining continuous production."

Project Objectives

To engineer a vertical solution that maximizes storage volume and intake speed within the existing limited land area.

Maximize Vertical Storage

Utilize height to overcome footprint limitations (50m Tower).

Streamline Logistics

Enable smooth handling of multiple truck arrivals.

Dust Control & Safety

Engineering Challenges Solved

Challenge 1

Extreme Space Limitation

Horizontal expansion was impossible due to existing structures and property lines.

Our Solution:

A vertical storage and handling strategy was adopted, maximizing capacity using height (50m) instead of footprint, utilizing a compact service tower.

Challenge 2

High Structural Loads

The concentrated loads of the silo (filled) and the 50m tower exceeded standard soil bearing capacity.

Our Solution:

Pile foundations were engineered and executed to safely transfer heavy vertical loads to deep, stable soil strata.

Challenge 3

Continuous Operation

The mill could not afford downtime during the 7-month construction period.

Our Solution:

Execution was phased and strictly sequenced. Critical tie-ins were performed during scheduled maintenance windows to maintain 24/7 mill operation.

Why This Is A Flagship Project

This project demonstrates our ability to engineer large-scale industrial systems and manage high vertical structures. It required the seamless integration of civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to deliver mission-critical infrastructure under severe spatial and operational constraints.

Overcome Space Constraints

If your mill faces capacity limits, reception bottlenecks, or space constraints, this project demonstrates how vertical engineering can unlock performance without relocation.
